Contract development
Agencies do not have a shortage of work. They have a shortage of capacity in the weeks the work arrives. This is for those weeks.
Rate card
Three rates, because the work is not all the same.
One blended rate means you overpay for content updates or we underprice architecture. Neither is honest, so the rate follows the work. Every piece is estimated in writing before it starts, and we flag the moment something looks like it will run over.
- Content, QA and small fixesCopy changes, testing, bug triage, plugin updates, release checks.$55/hr
- DevelopmentBuild work: features, integrations, front end, back end, migrations.$85/hr
- Architecture and legacy assessmentScoping a rebuild, reading a system nobody documented, deciding what not to replace.$110/hr
Blocks of forty hours a month are billed at $70 an hour across all three bands. Month to month, no minimum term. Ad-hoc work is billed in fifteen-minute increments against whichever band it falls in.
The problem
Hiring for overflow does not work: by the time someone is productive the crunch has passed, and you are carrying the salary through the quiet months. Offshore contracting solves the cost problem and creates a time-zone and revision problem that eats the savings.
What usually works is a reliable contractor in your own time zone who can take a defined piece of work and return it finished.
We work inside your repository, follow your conventions, and report on your schedule. Your client never learns our name unless you decide to tell them.
What you get
Everything in the scope, written down before we start.
Stack
We work in yours
WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, React, plain HTML and CSS, Node. Your repo, your branching model, your review process.
Scope
Defined pieces
A template, a feature, an integration, a migration. Estimated in hours before work starts.
Rhythm
Your schedule
Weekly delivery or inside your sprints, with a written status update you can forward to your client as-is.
Boundary
No client contact
We do not contact your client, appear in their inbox, or exist in their project history.
Rate
$55 / $85 / $110 per hour
Banded by the work, not blended. No rush fees, no minimum retainer. Invoiced monthly, net 15.
Availability
Blocks reserved
Book capacity ahead of a known crunch and we hold the hours.
Who this is for
Those are the sectors we know best, not a list of who we take. We build for any business — a tailor, a bakery, a driving school — and the price is the same whatever the trade.
What it costs
DEV — typical engagement
Delivered in ongoing. Fixed price agreed in writing before any work begins. Fifty percent on signature, fifty percent on handover.
Not included
- Third-party subscriptions, paid directly by you
- Stock photography and paid fonts
- Advertising spend of any kind
- Ongoing support, quoted separately after handover
How a project runs
You see it working before you are committed to it.
Call
Thirty minutes. You describe the problem, we tell you whether we are the right fit — including when we are not.
Scope and contract
A fixed price, a delivery date and a signed agreement. The contract protects you, not us. Nothing starts until you approve it.
Prototype
We build one small function from your project and show you it running. Not a mockup — working software, in two or three days.
Your call
Happy, we finish the build. Not happy, you walk away and owe nothing. No questions, no argument, no invoice.
Questions
The things people ask before signing.
Do you sign an NDA?
Yes, as standard, before we see your repository.
What is the minimum engagement?
Ten hours. Below that the handover costs more than the work.
Can you work directly with our client?
Only if you ask us to and under your brand. The default is that we do not.
How do you estimate?
A written estimate in hours before starting, with a flag the moment a task looks like it will exceed it. We do not discover overruns at invoice time.
