Bilingual builds, EN and FR
Machine translation is good enough for a menu and visibly wrong for a trade. A plugin does not know that your industry uses a specific term, and your Quebec customer notices within one sentence.

The problem
Quebec's language requirements and federal bilingual obligations create a steady need that most Canadian freelancers cannot serve, because translation is treated as an afterthought bolted onto a finished English site.
Done that way, the French version gets a machine-translated navigation, no French metadata, duplicate-content penalties in search, and interface text that reads as though nobody checked it.
Built properly, the French side is a real site: its own URLs, its own metadata, its own search presence, and copy written rather than converted.
What you get
Everything in the scope, written down before we start.
Structure
Proper architecture
Separate indexable URLs per language with correct hreflang, so search engines treat both as real pages instead of duplicates.
Copy
Written, not converted
Translated and adapted content, including the interface text, buttons and form labels that plugins routinely miss.
Search
French SEO
French keyword research, metadata and page titles. Translating an English keyword rarely produces the term people actually search.
Switching
Language toggle
A switcher that keeps the visitor on the same page rather than dumping them on the homepage.
Review
Native check
Final copy reviewed before launch, so terminology specific to your sector is right.
Add-on
Existing sites
We add a French side to a site someone else built, priced per page count.
Who this is for
Those are the sectors we know best, not a list of who we take. We build for any business — a tailor, a bakery, a driving school — and the price is the same whatever the trade.
What it costs
FR — typical engagement
Delivered in 1–2 weeks. Fixed price agreed in writing before any work begins. Fifty percent on signature, fifty percent on handover.
Not included
- Third-party subscriptions, paid directly by you
- Stock photography and paid fonts
- Advertising spend of any kind
- Ongoing support, quoted separately after handover
How a project runs
You see it working before you are committed to it.
Call
Thirty minutes. You describe the problem, we tell you whether we are the right fit — including when we are not.
Scope and contract
A fixed price, a delivery date and a signed agreement. The contract protects you, not us. Nothing starts until you approve it.
Prototype
We build one small function from your project and show you it running. Not a mockup — working software, in two or three days.
Your call
Happy, we finish the build. Not happy, you walk away and owe nothing. No questions, no argument, no invoice.
Questions
The things people ask before signing.
Can you add French to a site I already have?
Usually yes. The price depends on page count and how the existing site is built. WordPress and Shopify are straightforward; some page builders are not.
Is machine translation ever acceptable?
As a first pass that a person then rewrites, yes. Published unreviewed, it costs you credibility with exactly the audience you were trying to reach.
Does this help with Quebec's language requirements?
A properly built French site is part of compliance, but we are not legal advisors. For a formal assessment of your obligations, talk to someone who is.
Do you work with agencies on this?
Yes — bilingual delivery is one of the most common white-label requests we get, because few agencies have it in house.
